  1. This is a collection of sprites for use as desktop backdrops.  They're based
  2. on the design used on Argo's computers at the Wakefield show - they seemed
  3. very popular, I kept being asked where they could be downloaded from!
  4.  
  5. The sprites are 256 greyscale so they look pretty good on anything from a 16
  6. colour desktop right up to 16.7 million colours - but it grey isn't your
  7. thing then you can use the 256 colour palettes included to change the colour
  8. schemes by loading the sprites into !Paint and dragging the palette file of
  9. your choice to the window displaying the sprite (NOT the initial thumbnail
  10. window).  If you do use the alternative palettes you may need to then pass
  11. the sprite through ChangeFSI so that they look good on desktops with 256
  12. colours or less.
